Morgan #2

What was your journey like from starting out to where you are now?

Those first few months of no job post-college are some of the most difficult. It had me contemplating the degree I got and what the rest of my life was going to look like, but I pushed through and kept applying to jobs eventually getting my first foot in the door at iHeartRadio. That first opportunity lead to all of the ones that followed. Sometimes life has bigger plans than you have for yourself!

Amy Paige

Amy Paige is our mid-day personality on The BIG 98.

What advice would you give to young girls that want to pursue a career in our field?

Figure out which part of broadcasting you love. Create every opportunity to lean more about it. Use your passion and everything you learn to inspire others. STAY POSITIVE. Some people will try to dull your shine and put out your fire. Shine brighter and turn up the heat.

Mari

Mari is the producer for Tige & Daniel's show.

What made you want to get into radio/music?

Originally, I went to school for music journalism. I had an internship with a few publications while doing college radio for fun. After I graduated, I got a part time job with iHeartMedia (Clear Channel at the time) with event support while looking for a full time job in journalism, but I never left radio!

Marley

Marley is the co-host for CMT After MidNite with Cody Alan.

What was your journey like from starting out to where you are now?

I did 8 internships in college varying from newspaper writing, to radio, sports, fashion, TV investigative journalism, and hard news; thankfully all the experience I gained led me to learn country music radio was where I wanted to be. Applied to intern at CMT and once my internship was done, Cody Alan took a chance on me; added me onto the radio show and here we are now! I will forever be thankful for his guidance, respect and friendship!

Ashley

Ashley is the Promotions Director for The BIG 98.

What advice would you give to young girls that want to pursue a career in our field?

Learn everything you can, and remember to be a team player- it will get you noticed.Don't be afraid to take chances and put yourself out there, you'll grow so much more from taking the chance than staying in your comfort zone. Set goals for yourself and if you come to a point where you've hit a dead end, find a different route to accomplish your goal- success isn't always a straight line. Build genuine relationships and always remember to thank those that have helped you. Most importantly love what you do, you'll have ups and downs but if you truly love what you are doing it really won't feel like work.
