Meet Marley!
We sat down with Marley, the co-host on CMT After MidNite with Cody Alan, to get to know her, along with her role in the radio industry a little better.
What made you want to get into radio/music?
I love the stories that songs tell! I have not one musical bone in my body, but always connected with music on a deeper level., I also talk A LOT, so radio seemed fitting ;)
What was your journey like from starting out to where you are now?
I did 8 internships in college varying from newspaper writing, to radio, sports, fashion, TV investigative journalism, and hard news; thankfully all the experience I gained led me to learn country music radio was where I wanted to be. Applied to intern at CMT and once my internship was done, Cody Alan took a chance on me; added me onto the radio show and here we are now! I will forever be thankful for his guidance, respect and friendship!
What advice would you give to young girls that want to pursue a career in our field?
Work your hardest and be kind! Your hard work should show just as much as your heart. People might not remember the work you did, but they will always remember if you were a nice person.
