Before you panic, even the guy who introduced the bill realizes it won't pass.
According to CBS, a bill introduced to the Vermont Senate proposed banning cell phones for anyone under 21. The main reasoning is linking cell phone usage to reckless driving, driving fatalities, even suicide.
Senator John Rodgers introduced the bill on Tuesday to make a point.
“I have no delusions that it’s going to pass,” he told the Barre Montpelier Times Argus newspaper on Wednesday. “I wouldn’t probably vote for it myself.”
Rodgers is a strong supporter of the Second Amendment. It does make an interesting point, could there be a reason to ever put an age restriction on cell phones?
