The Latest Involving Sports And COVID-19

Crossing our fingers that we have have some normalcy beginning this fall when it comes to sports. Here's the latest....

College Football …Ideally, all college football conferences across the country can play a season in 2020. But, if that can’t happen, the commissioner of the Southeastern Conference -- the SEC -- admitted that his conference could push forward alone, even if the other conferences didn’t play, explaining that, “There is room for different conferences to make different decisions.”

NFL …It looks like the NFL will be releasing a full, 17-week schedule this week. No shortened season. No big changes. Full steam ahead? We’ll see how this goes …

Powerlifting … Hafthor Julius Bjornsson (better known as The Mountain inGame of Thrones--deadlifted more than any other human being in the history of human beings. He deadlifted 1,102 pounds, beating the previous record by 2 pounds. And, he streamed the event live on his YouTube channel, so it should be considered an official record -- even though all the rules are a bit jumbled because of social distancing.
