Fall is here and what better place to take in the changes of nature than with a trip to the Smoky Mountains.
Dollywood is set to launch its annual Harvest Festival next month. Starting September 24 and running through October 30, visitors to the park will be met with towering decorations, live music from performers like CeCe Winans, Pam Tillis and more, and plenty of seasonal treats, per FOX 17. Additionally, because they were a hit last year, the park is bringing back the massive pumpkins that weigh upward of 1,000 pounds from growers across the East Coast.
"Fall is a special time of year in the Smoky Mountains, because God's handiwork is on fully display for everyone to enjoy when they come to visit," said Dolly Parton, the park's Dreamer-in-Chief. "It's also the time when the heat of the summer fades and the crisp, cool evenings make it just right to enjoy the fresh mountain air."
The country music legend hopes that guests who come to Dollywood during the festival can create memories like the ones she treasures from growing up in Tennessee.
"Some of my most treasured family memories took place during the fall, and I want our guests to make their own wonderful memories while they are here," she said. "Our team works so hard to bring the mountains right into the middle of the park with all those great decorations and experiences. You really are surrounded by the colors of fall the whole time you are here."
