Tennessee will soon have a new license plate, and the state wants your help to decide what it will look like.

On Monday (September 20), Gov. Bill Lee announced the "Rate the Plates" campaign to choose the state's new license plate. License plates are redesigned every eight years if approved by the General Assembly's budget, per FOX 17.

"As Tennessee celebrates 225 years of statehood, it's a perfect time to redesign our license plate and feature the Tri-Star that represents each of our state's unique grand divisions," said Lee. "We welcome all Tennesseans to cast their vote and play a role in choosing this piece of our state's history."

According to the news outlet, the plates have a few requirements such as county names and expiration year decals as well as the words "Tennessee," "Volunteer State" and "TNvacation.com." Residents also have the option of displaying the phrase "In God We Trust."

Tennesseans have four options to choose from, two navy and two white, all featuring various designs with the requirements listed above. Check out the designs at the state's website here, where you can also cast your vote for the next license plate design.

Voting started September 20 and runs until September 27.
