Anne Hudson shared an update with listeners after Jelly Roll’s divorce news broke earlier this week.
Jelly Roll, 41, filed to divorce Bunnie Xo, 46, on May 18 in Williamson County, Tennessee, ending the marriage after nearly a decade. TMZ was first to report news of the divorce filing earlier this week. Anne Hudson said, “I never like divorce news, but unfortunately, there is some in the country world.” She said as she shared the news:
“Well, it looks like after 10 years of marriage, Jelly Roll has filed for divorce from his wife of 10 years, Bunnie Xo. He reportedly filed those papers in a Tennessee courthouse last month. The couple have had an up-and-down relationship very publicly. You know, they dated a year before they even married, briefly splitting for two years later after Jelly Roll cheated on Bunnie. I mean, they’ve just had kind of an up-and-down relationship. So, not totally shocking, but they’ve also been very, you know, vocal about their relationship. So, just sad.”
Jelly Roll and Bunnie Xo — whose real names are Jason DeFord and Alisa DeFord — met in 2015. The Dumb Blonde podcast host previously shared that she “was so drawn to him,” though their relationship was “strictly platonic” in the beginning. She remembered, “our chemistry was undeniable,” and the couple said “I do” in a spontaneous wedding in August 2016 in Las Vegas, Nevada. They returned to the same venue to renew their vows in August 2023. Neither Jelly Roll nor Bunnie Xo have publicly commented on the divorce as of publication time on Thursday (June 18).
