OPINION: Route 91 Festival Violence 'What Now?'

It's times like this, you want to hate the world and the people who lash out harming others and inflicting fear. What we really need to do, in my opinion, is love harder and louder every day - not just the people in our lives, but everyone who comes across our paths.

We need to love more. We need to reach out to each other without hesitation. High five a stranger. Ask the person slicing turkey behind the counter at Kroger how their day is. Listen to their response. Share in their joy or cheer them on through a tough time. Offer a kind word for no reason. Smile more. Get involved. Connect.

If you believe in God, you've already prayed for him to fix what is so horribly wrong down here. However, don't expect miracles without actively taking a step in that direction. God expects US to do the right thing. Let HIM work through YOU. Allow HIS love, kindness and patience to flow through your heart and share it unconditionally.

Whether you believe in God or not, we are all here together. We need to acknowledge and respect that.

We are Brothers and sisters. We share this world. It's ours. We need to care more about each other. We need to heal. Heal us now.

"We pray for healing of our people. We pray for healing of the land.

And peace for every race and nation. Every child, every woman, every man!"

...and let it begin with you.

Peace, Love and Respectfully,

Amy Paige
