Submissions are being sought for The Country Music Association Foundation's Music Teachers of Excellence award. The award recognizes music teachers who are "committed to quality and innovative approaches in the classroom."
This is the first year that music teachers from all over Tennessee are eligible. In the past, the award was exclusively for those who taught in Nashville. Up to 10 teachers will be selected to receive the award which includes a cash prize of $5000 to be split between the teacher and their associated school music program.
The deadline on entries is February 16th! For information on how to submit, please visit: http://www.cmaworld.com/cma-music-teachers-excellence/
The ceremony, which included a performance from Little Big Town last year, will take place in May at Marathon Music Works.
