East Coast Receives False Tsunami Alert

Another false alarm. First Hawaii's false ballistic missile incoming alert - and now THIS! Who's to blame this time?

Imagine waking up to this....

A tweet from the National Weather Service in Charleston, South Carolina, sent a FALSE Tsunami Alert around 8:30 a.m. ET. Approximately 15 minutes later, residents along the East Coast received the following:

"We have been notified that some users received this test message as an actual Tsunami Warning," the NWS tweeted, adding that a tsunami warning was "not in effect."

Let's hope our story doesn't turn out like "The Boy Who Cried Wolf" did.
