BIG changes are coming to downtown Nashville in the next few years.
Nashville is expanding OUT and UP. Future plans for downtown Nashville include a a 26-story building, at 12th and Broadway, where the Mazda dealership used to be. The property, anchored by Whole Foods, would also include other retail space, apartments and restaurants. Residents would have access to a dog park, dog wash, a swimming pool, a sky lounge, barbecue grills, fire pits, 24/7 concierge and an indoor-outdoor club lounge with a professional kitchen. According to The Tennessean, the project is expected to be completed in the fall of 2019.
Office space along with retail will be replacing the former location of The Tennessean building, across from the Tiger Market on Broadway. Plans for a new Hyatt Regency Hotel, a music venue and movie theater ("Nashville Yards") are said to occupy the now vacant space where the LifeWay Christian Resources building once stood...before this happened.
The 23-story Hyatt Regency hotel with 591 rooms is scheduled to open next year.
