Kindness Pays: Why This Waffle House Waitress Was Given a $16K Scholarship

This 18 year old waitress, with a heart as BIG as Texas, was working at a Waffle House in the Lone Star State, when she noticed an elderly man having trouble cutting his food. He was on oxygen and his hands were shaking. Without even thinking, she reached over the counter and began to cut his food. Another patron who witnessed this incredibly loving, random act of kindness, took a picture to spread the love on Facebook. That photo was liked, loved and shared (42,000 shares) SO many times, it touched SO many people, that she received a $16,000 scholarship from city officials in her hometown as well as a day to be honored...all because she was a good person.

You can read more about it here, but do YOUR best to follow in this young lady's footsteps. She's definitely smothered and covered America's heart.
