Dolly Parton at Tennessee Children's Hospital to Unveil Butterfly Garden

Earlier this week, Dolly Parton and her niece paid a visit to the Monroe Carrel Jr. Children’s Hospital at Vanderbilt for the dedication of The Hannah Dennison Butterfly Garden. As a child, Dolly's niece was treated at Vanderbilt Medical Center for Leukemia. Hannah is now 30 years old and healthy.

In addition to a $1 Million donation, Dolly Parton took time to speak. While addressing an audience of doctors, families and patients wearing butterfly wings, Dolly said, “We’re so happy to have our Hannah," adding, "For five years, we didn’t know exactly if we’d be keeping her or not. But Hannah stands here as our ‘Chemo Hero."
