Nashville: 6 y/o Sells Lemonade Raises 1K for Slain Officer’s Family

The eyes of a child...

"He has a daughter and I want her to feel better."

Could her motivation be any MORE simple?

As adults, we have a tendency to complicate things by overthinking it. "I HAVE to say it 'just the right way,' or "It has to 'flow smoothly and sound eloquent.'' As Caroline has proven, it doesn't HAVE to be either.  SIMPLY say what you "feel."

Caroline used the right amount of words and the flow was perfect, because it was straight from her heart...just like her willingness to stand in the Tennessee heat, on a Saturday in Mt. Juliet, selling lemonade to help another little girl and her family "feel better."

Thanks to the generosity of this Dickson County community, six-year-old Caroline Freeman raised $1125 to be donated to the family of the late Sgt Daniel Baker, who was killed in the line of duty on May 30th.

Caroline said she hopes one day to become a police officer herself. And, I hope one day - to be more like Caroline.
