This is extremely disturbing. The game Momo is very similar to another called, The Blue Whale Challenge, where children were encouraged children to harm themselves.

Please be aware and watch your children very closely - and if you receive a message asking you to do anything harmful to yourself or someone else - disengage and report IMMEDIATELY!!

Here are the facts:

Momo is a dangerous suicide game that children are falling victim to online.

The children are solicited to play via WhatsApp Facebook and YouTube.

Through the apps messaging feature, children are sent violent images and led to believe this unknown person has private information about them. They're threatened to follow orders or else.

Orders include self-mutilation and other harmful acts including suicide.

The creepy eye bulging avatar has nothing to do with the game.
