Panama City Gov't Hurricane Michael Video: NOT An Invitation to Vacation

The City of Panama City Beach Government has primarily used their Facebook page, to communicate with businesses, residents and tourists following the devastation left behind by Hurricane Michael. Messages regarding back to work, power restoration as well as addressing false rumors about the water supply being cut-off. They also posted video footage like the one below, for those business or homeowners who are unable to personally check the status of their property.

Although city employees have been welcomed to return to work, they are urging residents and tourists to wait a little longer before returning, so that first responders and displaced families have somewhere to stay.

"PLEASE DO NOT TAKE THIS AS AN INVITATION TO COME AND VACATION. ROOMS ARE NEEDED FOR FIRST RESPONDERS AND DISPLACED FAMILIES. THERE IS MASSIVE DESTRUCTION TO THE EAST."

If you would like to assist with Hurricane Relief, you can donate $10 to the American Red Cross by texting Michael to 90999 or online HERE.
