There have been a couple of aftershocks following two earthquakes reported in East Tennessee Wednesday morning.
This region hasn't experienced anything of this magnitude in decades. Around 4:15 CST Wednesday morning, a 4.4 magnitude earthquake shook East Tennessee. Just minutes later, another rumble came in measure 3.3 on the Richter scale. According to a tweet from the National Weather Service, the epicenter seems to be somewhere in the middle of Chattanooga and Knoxville.
According to the USGS, thousands of reports have come in from as far away as Kentucky, Georgia and Alabama.
