Rory Feek's Daughter "Indy" Inspires New Children's Book

There's nothing wrong with being different.

It’s been four years since Rory Feek lost his wife Joey to cervical cancer. Since then, he spends most of his time on the farm writing, blogging and being a single parent to his 4 year old daughter, Indiana. "Indy" was born with Down’s syndrome and is the light of his life. You may have seen her sparkling eyes and infectious smile co-starring along side Rory in his YouTube series. Now, she’s the center of a new children’s book called, “The Day God Made You,” authored by none other than Indy’s “Papa.”

According to this article, Rory said he’d been thinking about Indy’s almond shaped eyes, and how he and Joey didn’t realize she had Down Syndrome, but God knew exactly who she was and everything about her.

The book’s illustrations are as beautiful as its message, and sounds even better when being read aloud. Yes?

The Day God Made You is available as a hard cover, board book and e-book. If you’re local, you might want to swing by Duck River Books in Columbia, TN. And, if you happen to catch Rory and Indy grabbing a bite at Marcy Jo’s (Columbia as well), you might even be lucky enough to get an autograph!
