Allow us to introduce you to a Nashville Humane Association (NHA) dog who's available for adoption and looking for his Forever Home...
All of us at NHA LOVE how Miranda Lambert's MuttNation #LoveHarder campaign focuses on harder to adopt dogs such as The Bully Breed, The Black Dogs and The Senior Dogs since they truly do deserve their own special spotlight.
So, without further ado, please meet HANK. A wonderful SENIOR DOG here at NHA.
Hank is a 10-year-old beagle who weighs 19 pounds. Even though he is an angel, housebroken, and pretty much a perfect clown, he is getting overlooked at NHA. Which is unfortunate because this senior dog totally rocks! Age is just a number to him. He is filled with energy, sweetness, love, spunk, and deep howls.
Hank is a laid back and chill kind of guy with a get up and go attitude when he notices a leash. He also has the same attitude when he sees a blanket and a squishy bed. (Side Not: Hank hides treats in his bed) Either going for strolls around the neighborhood or hanging inside demanding belly rubs and treats - Hank is ready for whatever you want to do! And he will do it right by your side. When he is with his people, Hank is the happiest!
No surprise here because he's a Beagle: One of his favorite things is going for a walk, taking in the sights, with his nose to the ground SNIFFING EVERYTHING! Another one of his favorite things are soft squishy beds. Covered with a blanket. Surrounded by toys. (NHA Staff and Volunteers do their best daily to hook Hank up with all his most favorite things to make his senior shelter dog living spectacular)
Hank was transported several weeks ago to NHA from one of our community partners which was overcrowded and beyond capacity with pets. Being a senior, heartworm positive* dog, Hank was getting overlooked. (Even though he is an amazing dog, he was not getting an opportunity to show off how amazing he is)
He went to a foster home for a couple of weeks, after getting a dental, and is now back at NHA. Howling and wagging his tail constantly. Letting everyone know that he is looking for a forever home, of course.
*Hank Being Heartworm Positive. It's a disease that's easy to control, but timely to cure. Dogs get this disease from mosquito bites. Prevention is easy to get from your vet. And our Vet Services Team will go over his treatment at his time of adoption. Also: All pets at NHA, like the wonderful Hank, are spayed/neutered, up to date on shots and microchipped.
We're excited Hank is at NHA. That's he's made new friends with The Big 98's Wayne D Show. And of course, he'll be forever thankful to Miranda Lambert for giving him this "MuttNation Monday" opportunity! Paws are totally crossed that after this feature, Hank will have the Forever Home we all dream for him! Please enjoy his pictures plus his video with Wayne and Tay.
As you can see... Hank = Handsome & Happy. By now you are most likely thinking "HANK IS THE ONE FOR ME" and you're right. You must meet him (and his Beagle Howl) in person - So, please come meet this amazing senior dog at NHA!
Once you meet HANK you will see that no other dog will ever #LoveHarder when ADOPTED! Nashville Humane Association (NHA) is open for adoptions Tuesday through Sunday starting at 10am and Hank can't wait to meet his future forever family
