We had no idea black market fajitas would get you in so much trouble!
Gilberto Escamilla admitted to stealing and reselling over $1.2 million dollars worth of marinated meat.
“It was selfish. It started small and got bigger and out of control,” Escamilla said during his testimony, according to the Brownsville Herald. “It got to the point where I couldn’t control it anymore.”
The judge threw no mercy at Escamilla for his wrongdoings and wanted to make an example of him. The guy got a 50-year sentence for his years of meat stealing.
We know stealing is wrong, but 50 years for fajita meat? Who was this guy's lawyer? The message has been made clear, don't resell fajita meat or you're basically getting life in prison.
I looked at the source of this article 5x thinking this was a joke...https://t.co/r1YaqdLeS5— Francesca Nobile (@fn0bile) April 24, 2018
