Every pet owner's worst nightmare happened to Richard Guttfield. He came home after Amazon had delivered dog food to his house, but Guttfield's black miniature schnauzer, Wilma, was missing.
Guttfield immediately contacted Amazon with his story but got no assistance. Desperate to find Wilma, Guttfield reached out to Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos himself.
Surprisingly, Bezos got the email and assigned someone to track down the delivery truck's GPS to see what was up. They were able to prove the driver went home during his delivery route and found Wilma!
"This is inexcusable and does not reflect the high standards we have for our delivery partners," a spokesperson for the company said in an emailed statement. "We take these matters seriously and this individual is no longer delivering Amazon packages for the independent delivery service provider."
