Randy Travis' life has been anything but easy. Car accidents, jail time, addiction issues. Three years ago life took even more of a turn for the worse when Randy suffered a life threatening stroke. According to the Tennessean, Randy's wife Mary was told to "pull the plug." Even if he survived the stroke, Dr's said he'd be confined to a wheel chair for the rest of his life. Thankfully, Mary had faith.
For three years, one of the most beautiful, distinct voices in country music was silenced, and then THIS happened. Randy Travis was inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame this past October. The room was brought to tears, as he stood at the podium and softly began to sing "Amazing Grace."
He is being honored tonight by some of country music's finest and BIGGEST Randy Travis fans.
