Maddie & Tae are gearing up for their 10th year attending the CMA Awards on Wednesday evening (November 20), and in honor of the upcoming 58th annual show, the duo’s Maddie Font took a stroll down memory lane.
Font rated the duo’s red carpet looks from previous years at the CMA Awards in a nearly 8-minute video on TikTok shared on Tuesday evening (November 19). The first photo captures Font and duo partner Taylor Kerr on their “very first red carpet, absolutely terrifying,” at the 2014 CMA Awards. “We were faking it ’til we were making it, OK?” Ultimately, she rated the 2014 look a 5, “because we liked it at the time, so that counts.”
Font clarified that every red carpet look shown in the video “were all chosen by us. No one forced us to wear these.” Throughout the clip, Font revealed which looks she loved, which ones she would’ve done differently, which one was hiding a baby bump, which dress was “problematic,” and more.
This year, the 58th CMA Awards will feature performances by Chris Stapleton and Post Malone, who will open the show, plus Kelsea Ballerini with Noah Kahan, Brooks & Dunn with Jelly Roll, Eric Church, Luke Combs, Ella Langley with Riley Green, Cody Johnson, Megan Moroney, Kacey Musgraves, Bailey Zimmerman, Dierks Bentley (featuring Molly Tuttle, Sierra Hull and Bronwyn Keith-Hynes), Luke Bryan, Ashley McBryde, Shaboozey, Thomas Rhett and Teddy Swims, and Lainey Wilson.
