Lainey Wilson will return to The Voice as a Playoff Advisor for Reba McEntire’s team on the hit competition show, NBC announced on Monday (November 25): “Just country icons helping country icons. 🤠🤠”
Wilson performed “Hang Tight Honey” on the season finale of The Voice earlier this year, when McEntire surprised the reigning ACM Entertainer of the Year with an invitation to become an official member of the Grand Ole Opry. McEntire said at that time that she’s “so proud” of Wilson, and was “thrilled” to serve as an inspiration to the Whirlwind star. Wilson officially became a member of the Opry shortly after her surprise invitation from McEntire on The Voice stage.
McEntire returned as a coach on The Voice along with returning coach Gwen Stefani and first-time coaches Snoop Dogg and Michael Bublé this season. Country star Carly Pearce will serve as Playoff Advisor on Bublé's team this week. McEntire made her debut as a coach after Blake Shelton’s departure from the show in 2023. She’d served as a Battle Advisor and Mega Mentor in previous seasons. In 2025, Bublé, John Legend and Adam Levine will return to the show, along with first-time coach Kelsea Ballerini.
The Voice airs on Mondays and Tuesdays, and streams the following day on Peacock.
