Carly Pearce joined Michael Bublé to debut a stunning visual for their new holiday duet, “Maybe This Christmas.” The music video's premiere arrives shortly before Pearce and Bublé join forces again on The Voice on Tuesday (November 26), when Pearce serves as a Playoff Advisor on Bublé's team. The NBC show airs at 9 p.m. ET/8 p.m. CT, and streams on Peacock.
Bublé brought “Maybe This Christmas” to life with songwriters Chase McGill, Greg Wells and Jann Arden, and arranger Nicholas Jacobson-Larson. The award-winning artist and coach on The Voice previously said “this collab (with Pearce) fell into place so seamlessly it feels like fate had a hand in it.”
“And all the snow falling down on the city / And the good souls below / It ain't the same when it comes down / And turns into rain / ‘Cause it's Christmas time / You shouldn't be alone / Again / Maybe this Christmas / Don't have to be alone again”
“I wrote a Christmas song for people that might not love Christmas because they’re hurting, because they’re vulnerable, because it’s a tough time for a lot of people. I wanted to write something to give them hope,” Bublé said in a video on Instagram before the song’s release last week. Pearce admitted that although she often doesn’t opt to listen to Christmas music until after Thanksgiving, “for Michael Bublé and this moment I’ll make an exception.”
