Carrie Underwood Shares Behind-The-Scenes Look At Epic 'Spotlight Moment'

Carrie Underwood shared some behind-the-scenes photos from her performance of “The Champion,” which aired in an NBC promo during Super Bowl LX on Sunday (February 8).

“Behind every spotlight moment is a whole team shining just as bright!” Underwood wrote in a caption on Instagram on Tuesday (February 10). The Grammy-winning country star shared photos by photographer, videographer and director Jeff Johnson, plus Danny Ventrella of NBC Sports. Underwood performed her powerful, motivating 2018 anthem in a promo that included shots of players in action during the game. It aired ahead of the third quarter of the Super Bowl on Sunday, and was later shared on Instagram. The Seattle Seahawks took on the New England Patriots at Levi's Stadium in Santa Clara, California. The Seahawks were crowned the champions with a final score of 29-13.

The 2025-26 NFL season was Underwood’s 13th consecutive year performing the Sunday Night Football theme, which she recorded at Resorts World Theatre in Las Vegas, Nevada.
