Did Amy Get the Munchies? Her First CBD Drink Experience

A longtime listener named Lori called the Bobby Bones Show with a curious question for Amy, one that had to do with something Amy shared on her Instagram over the weekend.

Lori explained that she’d seen Amy post a story about trying a CBD-THC packet she poured into a drink. But after that, Amy never followed up, leaving Lori (and maybe a few others) wondering, did it actually work? Amy laughed and cleared things up right away. “It wasn’t THC,” she said. “It was just CBD. Totally legal. I ordered it online, it came right to my house!” The drink, which came in a little packet, was meant to mix with sparkling water for a chill, flavored cocktail experience. Amy explained that she had seen another influencer post about it and decided to give it a try herself, saving her first test for a relaxing Saturday night while watching a Christmas movie.

Her review? Nothing wild. “It was tasty, and I felt easygoing,” Amy said. “But no, I wasn’t talking to any plants.” Bobby and the rest of the studio couldn’t help joking about it, calling it the “gateway packet” and teasing Amy about turning her sparkling water into a cocktail mocktail. Even Lori admitted she’s been “CBD-curious” for a while but hesitant to try it, saying she’s always getting ads for similar products online. Amy’s experience made her feel a little more open to giving it a shot herself.

Bobby also chimed in, saying he’s tried CBD creams before for injuries but never really noticed a difference. “I think it works for some people,” he said. “It’s kind of like acupuncture, you have to believe in it for it to work.”

In the end, Amy said she might try another packet from the box she ordered, but for now, she’s just sticking with her sparkling water and Christmas movies.
