A caller named Summer joined The Bobby Bones Show this morning with a theory that might completely change how we see Lunchboxâs Price Is Right story.
She said sheâd been listening to Lunchbox talk about his experience on the show and something about it sounded very familiar. Thatâs because Summer was actually on The Price Is Right years ago, and she ended up winning the whole thing. The way she described the process matched Lunchboxâs story almost exactly. Summer explained that when she auditioned, she was number 36 in line, and her conversation with the producers was super short. âThey asked my name and what I did, and then moved on,â she said. âI thought I didnât make it, and then I was the first one called up.â
Thatâs what got everyone thinking: maybe Lunchbox really did get called up and just canât talk about it yet. According to Summer, contestants have to sign a bunch of paperwork after taping, promising not to say anything about the results until their episode airs. She said if the show gets bumped for something like a presidential address or breaking news and doesnât air, contestants donât get their prizes. So maybe, just maybe, Lunchbox is keeping quiet in case something like that happens or maybe heâs waiting to surprise everyone when the episode airs.
Of course, not everyone on the show bought into that theory. Bobby thought it was an interesting idea, but the rest of the studio wasnât sure Lunchbox could actually pull off a secret that big. âHe was doing that weird smile thing,â someone said, âbut I donât think heâs capable of hiding something that well.â
Still, it was enough to make everyone suspicious. What if he really is playing the long game here?
Summer also shared a bit about her own time on The Price Is Right, and it sounds like an unforgettable experience. She said she won âa horrible wall clockâ just to get on the show, but then ended up taking home six bars of gold, a trip to Fiji, and a trip to Mexico. âThey were totally legit,â she said. âThey do make you cash in the gold the same day, though. It was worth about a thousand dollars a bar, but I kind of wanted to just keep one for fun.â When her episode finally aired, Summer said she watched it with her fifth-grade class, who had no idea sheâd even been on the show. âIt was such a fun surprise,â she said.
Now, the big question is whether Lunchbox is planning the same kind of surprise. Did he actually make it on The Price Is Right? Is he waiting until the episode airs to reveal the truth? Or did he really not get called at all? The mystery continues, but one thingâs for sure: weâll be watching Lunchbox closely for any hints, smirks, or slip-ups that might give us the answer.
