It looks like it's the end of an era for the VW Beetle.
Volkswagen has ended production of the Beetle . . . and the last ones just rolled off the assembly line in Mexico.
The car has a long history spanning eight decades since 1938.
In fact, the United States became Volkswagen's most important foreign market with about 563,522 cars in 1968, equaling 40 percent of production.
The last of 5,961 Final Edition versions of the Beetle is headed for a museum after ceremonies in Puebla on starting today to mark the end of production.
