Carrie Underwood has been hitting the talk shows to push her new book. She did that Friday on"The Tonight Show" and told a story about one of the best nights of her life, which was the time she saw Guns N' Roses in concert.
She said, "Well, our tour wrapped and we were nowhere near Las Vegas. So, naturally, I said 'Let's go to Las Vegas with the band and go see GNR play.'
"'Cause it's kind of been a lifelong dream of mine I never thought would happen and I couldn't waste that opportunity. So I abandoned my husband, abandoned my children, went to Vegas . . . and saw Guns N' Roses."
She also went backstage and hung out with Axl Rose, but almost passed up the opportunity. Quote, "I always say it's hard when you meet your heroes, you know.
"Because I consider him to be somebody who kind of taught me how to sing, because I just loved how he could do different things with his voice. And I was like, 'Oh, I don't know. What if I meet him and he's not everything I wanted him to be?' But he was, so it was great."
