Duke has lived at Nashville Humane Association (NHA) for several weeks and during his time at NHA... Our dedicated Staff and Volunteers have been getting to know him to help find this hunka hunka burning love THE MOST PAWFECT FOREVER HOME! Anyone out there reading this... Please don't let the breed "Pit Bull" intimidate you in any way. Duke is a total mush who must go almost everywhere with a stuffed toy in his mouth!
A little bit more about the mush, umm, ooops, Duke...
Duke is six years old and weighs 61 lbs. He’s a big and snuggly dog who loves cuddly blankets, (can't stress this next item enough) STUFFIES, and all the affection one may give him. He's a smart fella too: Duke knows sit, is housebroken, and trust us, he will fill your heart with oh-so-much love! Seriously, look at that adorable face on that big ol’ head. Such a handsome boy who is looking for a forever home where he will be the only pet in the new home. He wants all your love. In return, he'll give you all of his.

Please Note that Duke is Heartworm Positive. It's a disease that's easy to control, but timely to cure. Dogs get this disease from mosquito bites. Prevention is easy to get from your vet. And our Vet Services Team will go over his treatment at his time of adoption. Also: All pets at NHA, like the wonderful Duke, are spayed/neutered, up to date on shots and microchiped.
We could go on and on about this happy boy who is still so easy to love, but harder to get adopted because of his age and being HW+. He deserves a Forever Home like all the pets do. Just look at him and all of his "pawfectness"
