MuttNation Monday: Meet Romeo

Answer: Nashville Humane Association!

That's right! We've got a dog at Nashville Humane Association (NHA) named ROMEO! And yes. He's such a love. A love who would love a forever home.

Romeo is relatively new to NHA and has only been at our facility for a couple of weeks. We rescued him from a local shelter partner of ours, Metro Animal Care and Control. Please don't let the Bully Breed intimidate you in any way. Romeo is a total love bug who becomes your BFF shortly after you introduce yourself. He truly is amazing. Every person who meets him falls in love. Which is not surprising. His name is Romeo. 'Nuff Said.

A little bit more about this heartthrob: Romeo is a Pit Bull / Mastiff mix who is between 6-8 years old and weighs 85 pounds of muscle and drool! An affectionate guy who wants all the love and attention a new family may give him. He has very good inside potty manners plus he is so gentle. (Kisses on his forehead are very much appreciated by him) Speaking of gentle, let's talk about walking him on the leash... Dude is not going to win any marathons. He walks at his own pace. It's a swagger. Think Eeyore from Winnie The Poo. Romeo's got stamina but not gusto. Which is so part of his charm. If you're looking for a dog who will leisurely walk right by your side, this is your puppers! He also gets along with other dogs. So, if you've got a Juliet at home. You MUST visit NHA immediately.

Pretty sure once Romeo visits with Wayne D and Tay at The Big 98 thanks to MuttNation - He'll become their new favorite! Seriously, look at that adorable face. Those expressive eyes. Those jowls. Just everything about him. Such a wonderful doglooking for a forever home. All he wants is love. In return - He will love you unconditionally!

Please Note that before Romeo may get adopted, he needs to move to a foster home first. He came to us with a foot injury that needs surgery. So, a foster home or a foster to adopt home is his goal today. Because tomorrow, Tuesday, November 9th, Romeo will have foot surgery, get neutered and a dental. So, he's really happy to have this special day out to visit The Big 98.

Anyone interested in fostering Romeo may email foster@nashvillehumane.org. Please put in the subject line "Interested In MuttNation Monday Romeo" (thx!)

We could go on and on about this amazing large dog who is still so easy to love, but harder to get adopted because of his breed mixture, age, constant drooling, and those improperly cropped ears. But still. He deserves a Forever Home like all the pets do. Look at him. Romeo truly is a love story waiting for a happy ending.

Once you meet Romeo, you will see that no other dog will ever #LoveHarder when ADOPTED! NHA is open for adoptions Tuesday through Sunday from 10am - 5pm. Please come visit him - THANK YOU!
