MuttNation Monday - Meet Apple

What's that Stevie Wonder song where the lyric says, "You Are The Apple Of My Eye" ???

Just a little heads up and warning: That's what you will be singing to this next MuttNation Monday feature. Ready. Set. Let's Go! It's time to meet the future sunshine of your life (wink-wink-hint)... A dog named APPLE!

Apple has lived at Nashville Humane Association for almost a month and during this time, Staff and Volunteers all have a huge crush on this large, black, adult, mix breed dog and just can't wait for her to find the "Forever #LoveHarder Home" she deserves. Anyone out there reading this and falling in love with her pictures plus the Facebook Live she did earlier with Wayne D Show's Wayne & Tay on The Big 98... Please know that meeting Apple in person is even more fun! She is such a happy girl. She loves life. Always smiling.

Fun fact about Apple… she speaks ( woof, woof ) for a treat!!! Also, for a treat she will sit, shake, stay, and lay down. Words to describe Apple are silly, outgoing, playful, and, of course, smart.

A little bit more about the sweetest girl: Apple's large personality fits her large size. She is a 1- and 1/2-year-old, Pit Bull / Black Lab mix who weighs 53 pounds. She is spayed, up to date on shots, and is microchipped. Apple is an active girl who is always ready for outside cardio adventures. She loves to stop and sniff all the scents along the way, especially now that Spring is near, so pleased be prepared when walking with her that she has a nose filled with curiosity. Apple also has excellent inside potty manners and a face that is filled with sweetness. She's a strong girl, so we recommend when out walking with her to attach her leash to a harness verses a collar. (Having her harnessed will be much easier to keep her by your side) Oh! Apple also LOVE to jump up and give kisses! Hugs too. So just be ready for that big tongue of hers to slobber up your face every chance she gets plus wrap her sweet paws around you. She also gets along well with other dogs and appears to be fine around cats she has encountered at NHA. Having a doggie BFF would be beneficial for her to exercise off some of her energy with canine play time. So, if you've got a dog at home looking for a BFF, please bring them to NHA for a meet & greet.

Who will be the lucky one to adopt Apple at NHA? Because this dog would sure love to be adopted by YOU! She is dog who is so easy to love but seems to be harder to get adopted because of her breed mix, color, and size. Which is why we are so thankful for Miranda Lambert's MuttNation Love Harder campaign. Apple is a perfect example for this feature.

Apple deserves a Forever Home like all the pets do. Once you meet her, you will see that no other dog will ever #LoveHarder when ADOPTED! NHA is open for adoptions Tuesday through Sunday starting at 10am. Please come visit and ADOPT this wonderful adult dog. THANK YOU!
