Today is a very special day. It's MuttNation Monday AND it's National Pet Day. This day is dedicated to all the pets by giving them extra attention, love, and care. There's a very special dog here at NHA that deserves all that and more. So, all thanks to this #LoveHarder campaign, which focuses on harder to adopt deserving dogs looking for a forever home, it's time to meet a dog needing extra attention (drum roll please) MISSY!
Missy has lived at Nashville Humane Association (NHA) for a couple of weeks and during her time at NHA, our dedicated Staff and Volunteers all have a crush on the happiest girl and just can't wait for her to find THE MOST PAWFECT FOREVER HOME EVER FOR MISSY!
Anyone out there reading this and falling in love with her pictures and Facebook Live with The Big 98... Please know that meeting Missy in person is even better! Everyone who meets Missy says she's the best dog. So, we just don't understand why a Gotcha Day hasn't happened for her yet? Maybe after today this fun girl's luck will change!
It's true. Missy is 100% Pure Fun. We can wait for you to meet and rub her belly! (Neither can she) A little bit more about the sweetest girl... Missy's large personality fits her large size: She's a 2-year-old, Hound mixed with maybe Sherpherd or Pittie or Circus Clown. She weighs 67 pounds -plus- she is spayed, up to date on shots, and is microchipped.
Missy has the most expressive eyes, too. She is an active girl who is always ready for an outside adventure and doggie play dates. She has good inside potty manners, and trust us, she will fill your heart with so much love and laughter. She loves being outside and being active just as much as she loves being inside the home, right by your side, getting belly rubs and forehead kisses, and being repeatedly asked "Who's a good girl?" Trust us - She knows the answer and will look at you, thump her tail as if she's saying back to you "ME!"
She also LOVES her squeaky toys. One of the most endearing traits about her: When people walk by her kennel, she greets them with a toy in her mouth. It is the sweetest thing ever. Probably because she is the sweetest dog ever.
The best words to describe her are Goofy and Affectionate.
We mentioned earlier that she's got good inside potty manners, which is fabulous, but we do recommend, like we do with all dogs getting adopted here at NHA, to keep Missy baby gated in a room when you're not at home while she is still getting use to her new environment. NHA's staff will be more than happy to go over tips to welcoming new pets to your home when you visit Missy - Just ask! Also, a Fun Fact: Missy also gets along with other dogs! So, if you've got a dog at home looking for a BFF, please bring them to NHA for a meet & greet. She is such a wonderful dog who is still very puppy looking for a forever home. She wants all your love. In return, she'll give you all of hers. Who will be the lucky one to adopt?
We could go on and on about this sweetheart who is so easy to love but may be harder to get adopted because of her breed and size. She deserves a Forever Home like all the pets do. Once you meet Missy, you will see that no other dog will ever #LoveHarder (or roll over as quickly for a belly rub, or give kisses) when ADOPTED!
