We are so grateful to Miranda Lambert's MuttNation and their #LoveHarder campaign. The campaign focuses on supporting shelter dogs who don't easily get adopted, including senior dogs, black dogs, dogs with disabilities, and Pit Bull mixes like BLUE.
A little bit more about the biggest and bestest boy: Blue's larger than life lovin' paw size fits his larger-than-life luvin' heart. He is an almost 3-year-old, Pit Bull mix who weighs a whopping 87pounds! He is neutered, up to date on shots, and is microchipped. He's lived with dogs in the past, so if you've got a dog at home looking for a BFF, please bring them to NHA for a meet & greet. Blue would LOVE that! Please note that Blue is Heartworm Positive. It's a disease that's easy to control, but timely to cure. Dogs get this disease from mosquito bites. Prevention is easy to get from your vet. NHA will care for Blue's Heartworm treatment at no cost to his future adopters. (Our Vet Services Team will go over a treatment schedule at his time of adoption) He also has great potty manners... Just keep this guy on a schedule and you're good to go.
Blue himself would like to add... "Hi there, my name is Blue. I'm almost 3 years old, and what can I say, at 87 pounds, I'm just a hunka hunka burnin love! I'm said to be the biggest shelter flirt (literally) and will just about bend over backwards for some booty scratches! I am a strong boy with quite the goofy personality, but don't let that fool you, I am also a big snuggle bug. Did I mention I love other doggos? I have a more of a rough and tumble play style, so I'd do best with a dog that matches my energy. Just think of the fun we'll wrestling, playing tug-of-war, and sharing the couch! I'd love an active home and someone to keep me on my feet while I keep them on their toes! I can't wait to be your best friend and for the adventures to come! Could I be your new best friend?"

Blue is 100% an adult dog who is so easy to love but seems to be harder to get adopted because of his age, breed mix, size, and HW+ status. Blue deserves a Forever Home filled with so much love.
