Allow us to introduce you to a Nashville Humane Association (NHA) dog who's available for adoption and looking for his Forever Home...
Please meet Tramp. He's basically an animated character come to life! He's a 2-year-old large mixed breed dog who weighs 57 pounds. What breeds is he mixed with? Good question! Depending on what angle you look at him: it's still a bit of a mystery. All we can safely say is "Large Terrier Mix" Who can say? All we really know is that he's totally mixed with sweetness, love, energy, and friendly.
Tramp is an outgoing and energetic guy, so a fenced yard and daily walks would be fun for him since he seems to always ready for outside adventures! Just as much as he's outgoing and energetic, he is equally sweet, snuggly, and laid back. Very smart too. His most ideal home for him would be a home with older children filled with lots of belly rubs.
So why is he in a shelter? Tramp was recently transported to NHA from one of our community shelter partners which was overcrowded and beyond capacity with pets. Being a large, mixed breed, plus very energetic, Tramp was getting overlooked. Even though he is a wonderful dog, he was not getting an opportunity to show off how wonderful he is! (Because he truly is) And then he was adopted. Unfortunately, he was returned to NHA.
Tramp. He's a Terrier. A large Terrier. Terriers are known for their "I've had too much coffee today - Let's Go!" kind of daily routine needed to keep them mentally stimulated and not bored. On that note... Tramp loves (loves-loves) playing with other dogs. So, moving to a home with a 4-legged sister or brother would be beneficial to Tramp. A fenced backyard, too.
All of us here at NHA are so very happy for Tramp today! He's made new friends with Wayne and Tay. And he'll be forever thankful to Miranda Lambert for giving him this "MuttNation Monday" opportunity! Paws are totally crossed that after this Big 98 feature, he will have the Forever Home he dreams of!
