Who will be the lucky one to adopt Mister "Will You Be My Valentine" Howie?
Happy MuttNation Monday! We've got a dog at Nashville Humane Association (NHA) named HOWIE looking for love tomorrow on Valentine's Day. He's relatively new to NHA and has only been on our adoption floor for a couple of weeks. During his time at NHA... Our dedicated Staff and Volunteers have been getting to know him to help Howie find a PAWFECT FOREVER HOME! Anyone out there reading this... Please don't let the breed "Pit Bull" intimidate you in any way. Howie is the kind of dog who becomes your BFF shortly after you introduce yourself. Especially with a leash. He's not a fan of living on our adoption floor, but WOW - This boy LOVES to go for walks, so if you approach him while holding a leash, he almost starts wagging his tail immediately!
A little bit more about Howie... Howie was found abandoned, is approximately 2 years old and weighs 43 pounds. Also, he is a high energy and playful puppers who brings boundless energy and joy to every situation. This four-legged dynamo is a mixed breed with a heart of gold and a never-ending supply of enthusiasm. Howie loves to play, run, and explore, and is always up for a good game of fetch or tug-of-war. He's always on the go, whether it's chasing after a ball, exploring new smells, or just soaking up the sunshine. Despite his boundless energy, Howie is also a big softie at heart, and loves nothing more than snuggling up with his favorite person for some quality downtime. He's highly social and loves meeting new people. If you're looking for a dog who will bring endless fun and excitement to your life, look no further than Howie. With his infectious energy and loving nature, he's sure to steal your heart in no time.
Seriously, look at that adorable face. Those ears. A nose that's just begging for a boop. Plus, those "Adopt Me" eyes. Such a wonderful dog looking for a forever home. All he wants is love. In return - He will love you unconditionally!
Please Note that Howie is Heartworm Positive. It's a disease that's easy to control, but timely to cure. Dogs get this disease from mosquito bites. Prevention is easy to get from your vet. And our Vet Services Team will go over his treatment at his time of adoption. Also: All pets at NHA, like the lovable Howie, are spayed/neutered, up to date on shots and microchipped.
Howie is so easy to love, but harder to get adopted because of his breed mixture and being HW+. But still. He deserves a Forever Home like all the pets do. Don't you agree?
