“What if you saw Randy Travis on your flight?”

The legendary Country Music Hall of Fame member shared a look at his recent flight on his social media accounts on Wednesday evening (June 11). Travis, 66, sat in the front row of the plane and “this Southwest crew made his night,” reads text that appears over the video. “Thy played his music as everyone boarded. This flight attendant made sure to give a good laugh.”

“A trip we'll never forget! What would you do if you saw Randy Travis on your next flight?” Travis’ caption reads. He set the clip to “Forever and Ever, Amen,” his 1980s classic that appeared on his 10-track studio album, Always & Forever.

Most recently, Travis debuted “Horses In Heaven,” his latest single he released with the help of AI (Artificial Intelligence). His first AI-assisted single, “Where That Came From,” arrived last year. It was Travis’ first studio recording in more than a decade. Travis suffered a stroke in 2013 that left him with a 2% chance of survival and damage to the part of his brain that controls speech and language. His wife, Mary, told iHeartCountry on the 2024 ACM Awards red carpet that “it was so emotional” to hear Travis’ new music for the first time.”It was so beautiful to hear that voice. I waited 11 years just to hear that voice.”
