Carly Pearce covered one of the most iconic Dolly Parton songs of all time when she paid tribute to the beloved legend during a recent performance.
Earlier this year, Pearce took the stage at the historic Ryman Auditorium in Nashville, Tennessee. She covered โJoleneโ with a Parton-inspired microphone that was unveiled as part of the Grand Ole Opryโs 100th anniversary in 2025. A video shared on Rymanโs official Instagram and TikTok accounts on Tuesday (July 15) shows the moment Pearce โpaid tribute to one of her greatest heroes with a beautiful performanceโ of the 1970s classic.
Pearce has previously shared how Parton inspired her career in country music. The Kentucky-born hummingbird artist was 16 years old when she moved to Pigeon Forge, Tennessee, where she worked as a performer at Dollywood. She moved to Music City a few years later, and has since become known for โEvery Little Thing,โ โtruck on fire,โ โWhat He Didnโt Do,โ โNever Wanted To Be That Girlโ with Ashley McBryde, โwe donโt fight anymoreโ with Chris Stapleton, and other singles throughout her career. Pearce also marked a full circle moment when Parton personally invited her to become a member of the Grand Ole Opry in 2021. Watch Pearce pay tribute to Parton here:
