Garth Brooks said he’s “never been more excited” for his wife, fellow country star Trisha Yearwood, days before she releases her new studio album.
Brooks posted a photo on Instagram on Wednesday (July 16) with Yearwood’s soon-to-debut record, The Mirror. Brooks wrote in his caption that he’s “never been more excited for you, [Trisha Yearwood] you’ve outdone yourself! The Mirror is my FAVORITE album you have EVER made...the world is lucky to hear your voice, your stories and your soul in this way. This album, like you, is a gift to all of us! love, me.” The “Friends In Low Places” star added that he recently “sat and watched her sign albums one night at the house, I jokingly asked her if she would sign one for me, she laughed and said if I wanted an album signed I could click the link and buy one myself! Don’t mind if I do!”
Yearwood’s The Mirror marks the first time the powerhouse country artist has embraced her role as a songwriter. She previously said this chapter is “different from all the others” in her career, “in that I co-wrote every single song on this record. I’ve never done that before in my whole life. …I think adds a layer that most people haven’t seen from me.” So far, Yearwood has released the title track, “Bringing The Angels,” “The Wall Or The Way Over,” and “Girls Night In” from the 15-track album. The Mirror will make its debut on Friday (July 18).
