Dolly Parton Explains Why She Got Her Tattoos

Last year Dolly Parton confirmed that she has some “tasteful” tattoos, and in a new interview with “W Magazine,” she’s giving fans some more insight into her body ink.

"I have a few little tattoos here and there," she says, “Most of my tattoos came because I'm very fair and I have a tendency to scar when I get any kind of cut.” She adds, "I've had surgeries for different things, and if the scars didn't heal properly, I just gotta put tattoos to take the sting out." 

Dolly notes, “I don't have the real heavy, dark tattoos. Mine are all pastel. And I have more than one!" 

• Meanwhile, in a video interview for the magazine Dolly owns up to having a crush on “Tonight Show” host Jimmy Fallon. "Well, I have a crush on Jimmy Fallon, but I'm big now, I can't excuse myself on that!" she said, noting, "I think he is precious. He's so funny. We get along so good." 
• Dolly has raised $700,000 to help the victims of the terrible flooding that hit Tennessee in August. The money was raised through her various businesses, including Dollywood, Dolly Parton's Stampede Dinner Attraction, Pirates Voyage Dinner & Show, and Hatfield & McCoy Dinner Feud and donated to the United Way of Humphreys County.
